Temple of Wirachocha

Nestled on a plateau, high in the Andes, the pre-Incan settlement in a wonder of ancient architecture and agriculture.  The rectangular temple and homes were constructed of the familiar tightly fitting rock, as a base, upon which clay bricks were laid. Doors and windows were trapezoidal in shape to protect from earthquake damage.
In contrast, the food storage buildings were round and had one narrow door and small window to facilitate air flow and drying of goods.
