Morning came early today with a wake up call at 5:45. However, morning here started much earlier than that.
At 4:30, 5 'canon blasts' jolted towns people out of bed. These blasts were flowed by a marching band leading people to Mass at 5:00 a.m., again part of Señor de Choquekillka celebrations. A final blast announced the beginning of Mass. Sadly we learned of this tradition later from our guide, otherwise we might have joined them -we were awake after all.
