From Simple Beginnings

Lucia Santo and her cousins Francisco and Jacinta Marto lived with their families in the town of Aljustrel, just around the corner from each other.
This is the house where Jacinta and Francisco lived.
This is the front door of Lucia's house.
Like other Portugese children, these children had chores. As the youngest in their families, they were to tend the sheep.
It is said the Fransisco, enjoyed playing the flute and was happy to look after animals when others asked. Jacinta enjoyed looking after little children. Lucia was happy to help with whatever was needed.
