Basel and the Rhine

Basel is located on the Rhine river and is at the corner of Switzerland, France and Germany.
Peter is looking towards Germany.
Switzerland was never attacked or invaded during the World Wars.  As a result many of it wonderful old buildings have been preserved, like this one built in 1389,
this town hall built in 1501,
and the Basel Muenster with it's beautiful stained glass windows and vast interior.
