Old Nazareth Visited

Over two thousand years ago, a young woman said 'yes'. The result was the birth of our Saviour. A church was built over this Holy site and today we visited the church that pays homage to the Virgin Mary. Works of art from countries around the globe illustrate various images of the Virgin Mary.
Around this church excavations have revealed ruins from Nazareth at the time of Christ.
Less than 100 yards from the house of Mary are the remains of St. Joseph's house (image with green lighted door) and carpentry workshop.
While it is true that St. Joseph was a carpenter, he was a builder, not the maker of furnishings.
