St. Andre

A tiny hamlet on the shores of the St. Lawrence, St. Andre, is our first stop on this adventure.

We are spending the night in a cabin next to the original hotel, the Manoir St Andre, built in 1879. This place is everything that I imagine when I think of Quebec.  It is quiet, rustic and very Francais.

When we arrived after over 12 hours on the road we first took a walk to honour the St.  Lawrence.  Calm and relaxing the river offered refuge for these weary travelers.  Before the sun disappeared behind the clouds, eliminating the chance of seeing a river sunset, we managed a few images of serenity.
An early morning awaits us as we plan to arrive in Baddeck tomorrow evening.

  1. Tell Peter to practice his Français. It may help him when he starts to pedal on the ride.
